Reader comment (Sam Sinclar, Chiang Mai, Thailand) : "Islam is now spreading rapidly in Thailand. Nowadays one can see fully veiled women as far north as Chiang Rai. Anyway, Buddhist don't mind about their traditional identity and are easily converted. Mosques are built right in front of Buddhist temples."
