Bangkok / Wat Suthat (Giant Swing)
This temple
on Bamrung Muang Road took 27 years to build. It is famous
for the excellent murals in the Bot, built in the reign of King
Rama III (1824-1851). The Vihara should be seen for its collection
of gilded Buddha images. The temple complex is open daily 9:00-17:00.
In front of
the temple is the famous Giant Swing. Many shops surrounding Wat
Suthat sell a complete range of Buddhist ecclesiastic supplies.
