Just before the splendid beaches of Bentota at kalawila next to Alutgama village is the late Bevis Bawa’s 5 acre private estate called ‘Brief’ open to visitors daily from 9 A.M to 5 P.M. Bevis, the brother of Sri Lanka’s leading architect, Geoffrey Bawa as the tallest man in the Sri Lankan army.

Built in a well laid out garden the house has a large collection of antiques. Further on the beaches are crawling with class holiday resorts.
