Transport / Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)

This modern, air-conditioned passenger train service has stations all over the city. Trains operate at intervals of between 3 and 8 minutes from 6am until midnight. Travelling on the MRT is cheap, with rides ranging from S$O.60 to a maximum of S$l.60 A S$12 Transit Link farecard available at most MRT stations, is valid on the MRT as well as bus services operated by the Singapore Bus Service (SBS) and the Trans Island Bus Service (TIBS). There is also a S$6 tourist souvenir ticket available at MRT stations in the city. MRT guide maps can also be obtained here.
