Men’s clothing, imported from the world’s fashion houses, can be obtained from department stores, shopping complexes and hotel arcades, especially in the main shopping district around Orchard, Scotts and Tanglin Roads.

For women’s fashion, Singapore offers the latest from around the world, with such famous names as Chanel, Liz Claiborne and Gucci available in shopping complexes and hotel arcades along Orchard and Scotts Roads. Singapore-made women’s clothing is moderately priced, with local dress designers able to produce up-to-date designs.

Local designers to watch out for include: Celia Loe, Thomas Wee, Dick Lee, Yang Derong, David Wang, Esther Tay, Bobby Chng and Arthur Yen. Fashions by Singaporean and regional designers are available at many outlets throughout the city.
