I maintain that achieving utmost sexual satisfaction is the only
philosophically sensible value in a person?s life. All other endeavors are
subordinate.
I measure the quality of a society primarily by how suitable it is for
achieving optimal sexual experience. I would prefer to live in a
society, guarded by a strong government, in which the pursuit of optimal
sexual experience, followed by a gentle death, are recognized as the only
sensible values.
Such a society does not yet exist. Instead, my choice is among
societies in which religious lunacy and/or anti-sexual traditions are firmly
entrenched and shape not only the minds of most people but also the
policies of governments.
In such societies, I am limited by social control, and for this reason,
I assume that the weaker the social control in such societies, the
better for my private agenda to secure, at least for myself, optimal sexual
experience with a considerable number of female partners.
Because social control needs material resources to be universally
imposed, there is a definite likelihood that in richer societies, social
control is more strictly imposed. Accordingly, social control in Brunei is
stricter than in Malaysia, and it is stricter in Malaysia than in
Indonesia.
In large but poor Third World cities, social control often is less
prevalent than even in liberal Western countries. Thus, to avoid social
control on sexual conduct, moving to a Third World country can be a
sensible, albeit temporary solution.
Social control in democracies can easily evolve from less fortunate
majorities being envious of more successful minorities. Sexually less
successful men may also be jealous of those who score better. The impulse
of the less fortunate is to restrict those who do better. A strong
government, committed to preserving the highest degree of personal freedom
for all members of a society, must guard against petty jealousies of
less fortunate majorities resulting in general restrictions of freedom,
especially sexual freedom.
A free press is a special form of social control, and an especially
negative one. By reporting on how well some people use their personal
freedom to achieve optimal sexual experience, a free press causes jealous
majorities. In democratic societies, jealous majorities will likely vote
for candidates promising to restrict those for whom life is better. For
this reason, a strong government, which is committed to protect the
personal freedom of all members of a society, must restrict the freedom of
the press.
