This provincial town is a stop over for those who want to go to Tablas. A bigger outrigger cruises between Odiongan on Tablas and Roxas almost daily, depending on the weather.
2km (1.3mi) out of town is Melco Beach, a light sand and gravel beach with cottages for rent. From here bangkas to Boracay can be hired but the trip is dangerous as the Tablas Strait is feared for its rough sea. In February 1987, a bangka from Melco Beach, bound for Boracay, disappeared without a trace.
