Region: in the north eastern province of Isabela, especially around the towns of Casilag Sur and Cabagan

Physical Features: dark skinned with big build, large rectangular face

Dialect: Ibanag

Religion: Catholic

Integration: The Ibanags have partly absorbed the prevailing culture of the low land people.

Community: The Ibanags are under a similar set up and administration as ordinary Filipinos.

Technological Level: Basically the same as of the mainstream Filipinos.

Education: Most finished primary education. Some 30 % have secondary education. Those who study in college mostly do so in Cagayan instead of Manila.

Employment: Basically, Ibanags are farmers. Ibanag employees, who are not great in number, are mostly in government offices; some of their women are employed overseas as nurses.

It’s all of these things, of course. But right now, it’s primarily that it’s so cheap. It’s like Europe…but at a third of the price. It’s hard to go wrong there…whether you are thinking about relocating…or just investing. Now is the time to act.
