Mustang and Manang, both are accessible by foot only and take from 15 to 20 days to reach. They lie in the ancient salt route from Tibet into Nepal. As they are in the leeward side of the Himalayas, there are extremes of temperatures with extremely cold winter and near zero rainfall.

These regions are opened for partial tourism only, but are some of the most beautiful regions in the world and house some of the most simple, down to earth and yet very hospitable people.
