Chung Cha T., Korea: "One of the stupid dogmas of European civilizations is the politically correct but otherwise wrong idea that everybody wants to live in a democracy. What bullshit. I do not want to live in a democracy where the rules are made to temporarily (at election time) appeal to the average idiot, including me. I want to live in a society ruled by wise men who can craft rules that are more appropriate than what average idiots can think of."

Southwestern Region / Chonju

The southwestern area of Korea is rich in fertile rice paddies; it is often called the "rice bin" of Korea. The farmland slopes gently down to the coast and the jagged coastline is indented with many small harbors.

Midway along the Honam Expressway is Chonju, Here you can find shops specializing in Korea's traditional mulberry paper, hanji. Hanji is used in calligraphy and in making umbrellas, fans, and other items. Chonju is also famous for its pibimbap(a large bowl of rice mixed with vegetables and minced meat). Don't leave Chonju without tasting it.
