Between Petra and Aqaba is Wadi Rum, where the landscape of pink and pastel sand is interrupted by limestone and granite cliffs, sculpted by centuries of desert winds. History, nature and romance intermingle in Wadi Rum, site of some of the escapades of Lawrence of Arabia, as well as the location for David Lean's film of the same name.
