Bali is part of Indonesia, and Indonesia has the harshest drug laws on the planet. Minimal quantities about which nobody would bother in Europe could land a foreigner in prison for many years. No foreign visitor should expect to be able to bribe Indonesian policemen when drugs are found on him, or if drug use can be proven.

As far as terrorist attacks are concerned, Bali is probably the most dangerous desitination in Indonesia. For Islamist terrorists, any white person is a target.
