Goa, by itself,
is one long festival. January has the New Year and Reis Magos
followed by the Feast of our Lady in February. March brings the
Goa carnival, known across the world, as three fun filled days
of gay revelry and abandon.
Even the August
month has a festival — the harvest festival that is followed by
the festivities of Dussehra and Diwali.
And then comes
the Christmas season, which is heralded by the Feast of Our Lady
and the Feast of St. Francis Xavier.
Finally Christmas
itself, with all the merriment, fun and palate tingling delicious
Goan Pork Sorpatel, Chicken Cabdel, all rounded off by the rich
Behinca —a many layered version of the plum pudding.
