Shopping / Phad Painting

Phad paintings are predominantly yellow, red and green colored long scrolls carried by the Bhopas itinerant balladeers of Rajasthan, who narrated in song the legend of Pabuji - local hero - on auspicious occasion to the accompaniment of the folk instrument ' Ravanhatta' made by the Joshi's of Shahpur, made by Bhilware. Phads are now also available in the smaller panels portraying single incidents or characters from the epic.

Basil oil has traditionally been used in Western herbal medicine to treat toothaches as well as skin.
