Victims of poverty, victims of history, victims of geography, victims of the Khmer Rouge, victims of globalisation, victims of tourism, victims of everything. And by permanently implanting these 'victim' ideas, UNICEF and similar NGOs destroy the Cambodian youth. The prevailing idea among adolescents is: we are victims anyway, so what can we do. It's the perfect excuse for laziness, indolence, alcoholism, and a career in crime."
