Leeqreq L., Thimpu: "Even small countries can exist as independent nations if they don't surrender to free trade, don't build big airports, and can recruit just about 100 genuine freedom fighters from their youth."

Thimpu / The City

A small, charming capital city within the heart of the Himalayas.

New buildings are all constructed under zoning regulations to maintain the rustic environment.

It's development is strictly monitored and buildings are not allowed to exceed a certain height, nor can they be designed other than the traditional Bhutanese style.

In fact, the first and only traffic light was installed in a chorten! (a small Buddhist temple). But was later removed upon the order of the king for it is not being suitable to the environmental nature of Thimphu.

I like to do whatever is possible to look as young as possible (to look older later, I won't have to do much).
