Shakirah T., Bhutan: "If our minds are not of this world or universe, and if in other universes, different laws of nature apply, than it is perceivable that our minds can move between universes, and it is perceivable that our imaginations lead us to different universes where our minds will live on. So, indeed, pious Muslim men may end up in a Muslim heaven where they can enjoy an unlimited number of virgins every day, and pious Christians in a heaven where everybody is castrated and just enjoys singing hosiana."
The Country and its People / Climate
The southern part of Bhutan is tropical, and is general the east of Bhutan is warmer than the west. The central valleys of Wangdue, Punakha and in the east, Mongar, Tashigang, Lhuntshi enjoy a semitropical climate with cool winters, whilst Thimphu, Trongsa and Bumtnang have a much harsher climate with monsoon rains in summer and snow fall in winter which often blocks the passes leading into the central valleys. Winter in Bhutan is from mid-November to mid-March, and at this time of the year the climate is dry with temperature falling below zero. The monsoon
usually arrives in mid-June with the rain falling mainly in the
afternoons and evenings. At the end of September, after the last
of the big rains, autumn suddenly arrives, and is a magnificent
season for trekking until mid-November.
