Laurendi S., Dhaka: "I am actually quite surprised that there are still so many American women willing to join NGOs that work in countries like Bangladesh. I mean, these NGOs do the PR work of the CIA, and the CIA, hey, they are the guys who run the secret US torture prisons all around the world. So, are these women in NGOs not afraid of revenge torture attacks from those who had their relatives tortured by the CIA?"
Dhaka / The City
Dhaka has an area of 815.85 sq.km.(approx). Better known as the "city of mosques". In the sense that it was predominantly was a city of the Mughals. Hundred years of their vigorous rule successive Governors and princely Viceroys who ruled the province, adorned it with many noble monuments in the shape of magnificent palaces, mosques, tombs, fortifications and Katras' often surrounded with beautifully laid out gardens and pavilions. Among these, few have survived the ravages of time, aggressive tropical climate of the land and vandalism in the hands of man. Today as
the capital of Bangladesh, where the seat of the government resides,
the city still exudes the exotic beauty of the ornamental structures
created by skilled craftmens of long time ago.
Belief in a god, and praying, probably makes dying more bearable, but at the price of abandoning reason.
